Good for you. This is our first year setting up a tree and putting up lights outside. We did it yesterday. I’ve seen the dubbies from my old hall handing out tracks in my neighborhood. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a “Gestapo” elder or 3 give us a hard time soon.

Thank you MysticMage, Hortensia and OneDayillBeFree.
AudeSapere – I did have a lot of fun making them.
jwfacts – I would be curious to find out as well. I know one family in my old hall where the husband goes for his wife. He thinks it’s a good way to raise his kids but I think if it wasn’t for her, he probably wouldn’t go.
Thanks Cofty and CyrusThePersian
That’s great DoC. From reading stories here on JWN, it seems we are in the minority.
OTWO – It was my daughter’s first birthday. I wish I had dressed up too. We had celebrated Valentine’s Day the first time this year. But this picture from May was the first time we all celebrated something as a family.
Thanks KateWild and cantleave.
Simon – Normal life is the key. It’s what we’re trying to accomplish. I enjoyed my life growing up a JW but so do battered women and children with stalk home syndrome… Just didn’t know any better.

I was about the same age. And that was back when the #2 consisted of a beginning, bible reading and a conclusion. I hated giving talks, I think I got out of just as many as I gave.
This all has torn our family apart.
Sorry to hear this. I am really hoping this doesn't happen in my situation.

NO thank goodness!!
How many generations have been JWs?

That's rare. Thanks for sharing.
Did you hold any position in the WTS? (MS, Elder etc...)

I like this : I’d talk myself into quitting drinking sooner, and getting a real job before getting married.
Should have thought of this for mine. Great thread.

Thanks NoRegrets.
My son wanted to be a Zombie for Halloween this year. I made his costume out of his "meeting" clothes. It was fun making them.
